Message modded Z knows that they are high maintenance. There is almost always something to replace/fix/upgrade. Off the top of my head I can think of a half dozen things that I need to do to my Z. I'm sure most people with a TTZ above stage 3 can say the same thing.. :)

But I'm not having problems with the engine running if that's what you were saying - at least none other than what happened last night.

As for the A/F ratio stuff you were talking about. I'm sure you know that I am aware of what you are talking about. What I'm not sure of whether you know or not has to do with the high gear high octane fuel map. It intentionally drops the A/F to around 10.5:1 for exactly the reason you speak of. Long hard runs will generate high temps and fuel is your best coolant. Dropping the A/F down real low in 5th gear is the method I used to keep things cool. Running through the gears at WOT all the way through 4th only generates about 825-850C temps. As soon as you dump it into 5th gear, the A/F goes down and so does the EGT's. Something I didn't mention in that original post: JWT's high gear fuel map is the same as the standard 1-4th gear fuel map. I'll bite my tongue and let you formulate your own opinion on that fact. :)

My post did come off in a cocky sense, I admit after looking it over. It was late as hell and I just *had* to post about what had happened. Sorry it came out so rough, but I speak my mind a lot. :)

Just to finish answering your questions though.

JWT doesn't guarantee your engine wont blow up.
The only mistake I made with my engine was that I let someone else do the headwork. The rest of the follies (PCV reroute - actually I can't think of any other folly - enlighten me plz).
AEM, MOTEC are more than 3X more than my device. I'd hope they have at least 3X more features, but I dont think they do.
If the ECU is not intended to be used with a boost controller, perhaps that's because of the fact their low octane maps aren't reconfigured. Configuring the maps properly will tell the user there is a problem when they feel performance drop.

I'm not striking back with these answers, they are off the cuff and I'm wanting to read other posts. :) Just quick answers.
